Interestingly only one of the buildings shown was present eight years ago when we moved to uptown Charlotte.. The tallest building, called the Duke Energy Center, was present eight years ago and was were I first went to work in Charlotte. Our condo complex is 1/2 of a block past the two construction cranes. Past our condo there was a similar construction boom, of mid-rise apartments next to the Charlotte baseball stadium and the Romare Bearden Park. There is also construction underway in Uptown North not shown in this photo.
With all of this; why is the property value, of our condo, falling? The answer is that high density is a hard sell during a pandemic. But it is no big deal. I plan on retiring in 2 years so by then the pandemic will be over the the uptown condo prices will have recovered (smile).
Nice downtown!
I like the view.
