Today’s photo shows a sculpture found in the Two Wells Fargo Center plaza. I share the photo because of the concept of offering a helping hand. Also, the photo was shared because of my efforts to chose scenes which include people. In the background you will notice a gentleman enjoying the sun. Also, a family is enjoying a meal.

Ratcliffe Flowers

The Historic Ratcliffe Flowers sign stands in the Green with the Mint Museum in the background. There is an interesting story, in the Charlotte Business Journal, about the Ratcliffe’s Flowers building, the construction of the Ratcliffe condos, and the preservation and incorporation of the original architecture.

Note that I have also included people in the scene because recently my post have focused on empty lonely scenes. Today I went looking for photo opportunities which included people. Most people are waring mask or social distancing.

Also, note that the the Mint Museum is the same museum I mentioned in yesterday’s post.

Today’s photo shows dynamic art on the side of a parking garage in Uptown Charlotte. The art is composed of sun catching polished metal pieces which the wind moves causing patterns of light.

This solar smart flower was found in the First Ward Park. The flower follows the sun and folds up at night. Their website says the flower folds up and cleans itself nightly. With this intelligence the smart flower makes 40% more energy than traditional solar panels. Plus it looks good.
