half-staff

In the US; the flags are at half-staff in memory of the 500,000 people who have died from Covid. Globally, the death toll is 2.4 million. It is important to pause and reflect on their loss and on their loved ones left behind

On a positive note, I recently heard a nurse say “there is light at the end of the tunnel” and on the news we heard Dr. Fauci say “there is light at the end of the tunnel”. Hopefully, we will all continue to follow scientific advice and be safe.

The BOA Stadium is in the background of this photo.

Following is a link to the precedential Proclamation on Remembering the 500,000 Americans Lost. Also, a link has been included for today’s photo saved on Flickr with the caption: A flag at half mast in memory of the 500,000 people who have died because of Covid. This photo was taken near the BOA Stadium in Uptown Charlotte.

Flags as half mast on Memorial Day in Charlotte
Flags at half mast on Memorial Day … I was pleased to see this act of honor for men and women who died while in the military service … and I was especially touched by a photo my sister posted on facebook showing a flag on our father grave … he served in World War II and for the rest of his life Dad placed flags on the gravestones of veterans on the Sunday before Memorial Day.

This photo was taken at 600 East 4th Street. Also, the following is a link to the Memorial Day Wikipedia article.
