This is a much more common scene than the street scene shown yesterday. Today’s photo shows, parking on the side streets with a mix of industrial and new construction. Also the flowering trees are common. As are the one way streets :)
This is what all parking garages should look like. They should be under a park with trees, flowers, art, and people with smiling faces. Actually, we are fortunate to have this park and parking garage in front of our condo complex in uptown Charlotte. The park and the parking garage are called The Green for good reason.
During these difficult times it is good to notice what is beautiful. This photo was taken at The Green, which is actually an underground parking garage. At street level The Green is a small park, complete with signpost honoring authors, two story sculptures of stacked books, fish sculptures spotting water for the kids to play in, and lots of flowers.
We were shopping at Best Buy when this photo was taken. We also frequently park at the Metropolitan because it gives us easy access to the Little Sugar Creek Greenway. In addition Trader Joe’s, great restaurants, and outdoor music can be found at the Metropolitan.
This photo was taken from a parking garage. The mural is signed by @naploetanoArt
These are solar panel trees found on top of a parking garage in Uptown Charlotte. We recently went to the IMAX theater, at the Discovery Place. While there we used the electric vehicle charger which was powered by these solar panels.
I like this sign which says Absolutely no parking in alleyway … the alleyway is in Uptown Charlotte and I have waited patiently for an opportunity to take a photo of someone parking in the alley … I knew it was just a matter of time.
This colorful parking garage caught my eye recently and so we are sharing a photo with you. Actually Charlotte has several interesting parking garages which make for good photo opportunities. However they don’t catch my attention given we mostly walk … my reason for noticing this parking garage is that it is next to the 7th Street Public Market where everything from fresh produce to wine and good food can be found.
