This is a follow-up photo to yesterday’s surprise find at a state park. Today’s photo shows a electric vehicle (EV) changer found at a state park while on a recent day trip. Roughly 90 miles from Charlotte this EV charge can be found at the Sesquicentennial State Park. The added benefit is that you can take an enjoyable walk while your car charges.

The sky seems to be bluer when we have been in the forest lately. However, when I Google the subject what I find is that the sky is bluer in the Fall .. so maybe it is just that we are going hiking now that the weather has cooled off. Another theory I found is that that when the forest color contrast, with the sky, it heightens our perception of blue,

Following is an article which answers the question: Is the sky bluer in the Fall? Also, we are sharing a link to the today’s photo saved on Flickr with the caption: Electric vehicle charging in a state park.

outdoor seating

Today’s photo was taken on our road trip to the mountains. This is the patio at the Town Tavern. There is good food, music, drinks, and most importantly .. cool mountain air.

Note that, although Connie and I are vaccinated, we are not ready to eat inside a restaurant. However, we do enjoy restaurants with outdoor seating. Unfortunately, due to the heat, our only recent restaurant experiences have been early morning brunch. It was nice to enjoy an evening meal.

Road Trip

It was 96 degrees Fahrenheit today in Charlotte so we took a road trip to the mountains. Three hours later we were in the mountains where the temperature was 76 degrees Fahrenheit.

Given we drive an electric car our road trip photo shows us charging at a Blue Ridge Electric charging station. Complete with solar panels.

More photos from the trip tomorrow.
